How can I disable 'dem darn electronic controls
on my transmission?
Don't.... These new electronic controls are necessary, and, if they are working properly, make the transmission work much better, although differently, than older, non-electronic transmissions. Electronic controls are a part of automobiles today, and disabling them, will make the car perform much more inefficiently, and, in some cases, shortening the life of the vehicle. Don't look for a way to disable things that you do not understand. Let professionals, familiar with late-model electronically-controlled vehicles, work to keep them maintained, and enjoy the benefits that electronics add to an automobile.
